Similar to how David Clements said Elon was late to party, there was a part of me that was not sure whether Alpha would do a substantial piece on election integrity and I called them out for this most recently on April 2024, but I attended the day Liz interviewed the ACEIT team on April 29 and thought she did a great job with this video.
Expanding hand counts
The bottom of Liz’s article mentions the key point about Oak Grove and Ramsey expanding their post election review hand counts to additional precincts and down-ballot races.
What Oak Grove and Ramsey city councils have done is just ONE step toward a proper audit, which would include machine audit logs, cast vote records, ballot images released to public (not banned by legislature), and a detailed review of mail-in ballot signature verification and chain of custody, just to name a few.
Of course, as many have said for years, the solution to electronic black boxes and mail-in ballots is simply: one day elections, hand-marked paper ballots, in precint, in person, hand counted that day, completely open to public viewing the entire time.
