Did you know delegates like you aren't being let in?
We are all Otter Tail, not Tom Emmer, not David Hann
The Republican Party is actively excluding people, duly elected delegates
Fortunately, the State Convention is the final authority on Party issues. According to Minnesota Statute.
On May 16 is State Central Meeting for Minnesota Republican Party.
On May 17-18 is State Convention Meeting for Minnesota Republican Party.
This WILL be an issue at the convention(s).
Although the Exec Dir Anna Matthews of Party has said they are not interested in putting on agenda.
BUT if the Otter Tail Convention is affirmed, then the delegates that are being excluded would be affirmed.
Meantime the Party is trying to remove Wendy Phillips, from the Exec Board, who went to help out Otter Tail at their convention, which the Party said they didn’t need to have (Party is wrong).
Wendy did a great service.
Why remove her?
Much more to this story.
The Party would not like to have the Otter Tail delegates seated. They were also suspended in 2022 for not supporting the candidate, Jordan Rasmussen, who they believed was actually a Democrat.
Now, even with those delegates excluded (so far), Michelle Fischbach (backed by Tom Emmer) could not get endorsement vs Steve Boyd in CD7.
Speaking of Tom Emmer, his pick for CD2, Joe Teirab, only got 25% of vote, so Tayler Rahm with 75% of vote got endorsement.
MNGOP doesn’t even want to say Tayler got the endorsement. Should Chair David Hann be suspended for not supporting the endorsed candidate?
Who is Joe Teirab anyway?
(By the way Joe Teirab transferred his house to his family member and moved from CD3 to CD2 as part of this plan.)
Teirab has big money behind him via Tom Emmer and friends, PACs and congresspeople in multiple states.
Money being passed around.
And Teirab rescinded on respecting the endorsement and will go to primary. Should Tom Emmer have to step down for not supporting the endorsed candidate?
So that was 2 losses for Team Emmer with Fischbach and Teirab.
Then in CD6 Tom Emmer was going for congress again.
And he needed his PAID STAFFER Bobby Benson, Chair of CD6, to exclude the challenger to Emmer… so… congrats! Emmer wins by default.
Should anyone employed by candidates be able to hold offices which allow such interference?
Finally, Emmer and Hann have invited Trump to a fundraising dinner on May 17.
It seems like this could interrupt the meeting on Friday.
Why not just invite him to the convention delegates already paid for?
By the way, how much money are delegates/alternates already spending to attend the convention?
Now they are inviting President Trump, who they don’t even like - Trump has called Emmer a RINO Globalist when Emmer was going for House Speaker. And Hann said he’s not a Trump go way back in 2016 and repeated in 2021 that the MNGOP isn’t the party of Trump.
I believe that Trump knows this, so it will be interesting. Art of the deal?
But if Trump is going to be in MN, why is Party planning to interrupt their own meeting? Again, as the Party, why not just invite him into speak to several thousand people, instead of a tiny room by comparison? Oh, that’s right, it’s about money…
Let’s see how it plays out.
I think if President Trump knew, he would be in favor of seating the Otter Tail delegates.
